I want to help you with your email subject lines!

First off, I really hope that you have an email list! As a small business owner or female entrepreneur, email marketing is a must for increasing sales and nurturing clients (click here for more info on email marketing and how to get people’s email addresses).

If you do have an email list – congrats and bravo 👏 ! It doesn’t matter if you’re manually sending out your emails or using one of the larger platforms like Mailchimp, Flodesk, Active Campaign or Klaviyo. The most important thing is that you have an email list that you can start using for email marketing.

As you know, email writing is tough and takes time so after all that effort, we definitely want our ideal client to OPEN the emails we send them.

The subject lines of your emails have a lot to do with whether your email recipient (and potential customer) opens your email and gets all the juicy goodness you are sending their way.

I have compiled a few quick tips for your email subject lines that I’d like to share with you. I’ve also included a number of subject line examples that you can use to increase your open rates.

Are you ready?

10 Tips for Email Subject Lines to Increase Open Rates

> Use a Person’s name (if possible) – this makes it more personal and grabs their attention
Example: Hey Tracy, thought you might like these!

> Include an Emoji 🌈 – if it ties in with the title. ONE emoji, not ten.
Example: Chocolate chip cookie 🍪 recipe inside!

> Change Up your subject lines – don’t use the same one every time!

> Keep ’em short and sweet
Example: ‘Tips for your next email 📧 ‘ NOT ‘Inside this email I am providing you with multiple tips for your next subject line’

> Make them intriguing
Example: Jason Bateman + 🍪 + ✍️

> Ask a question
Example: Are you making this mistake?

> Go Random
Example: I recently sent out an email to my list from ‘Jem & the Holograms’

You know your audience, so have fun with subject lines. Try different things to see what works. When you see your open rate increasing… you know you are writing magic 🌟 . Keep up the great work.
